The Rod Smith Memorial Kids Fishing Pond is a family-friendly spot designed to introduce young anglers to fishing. Stocked regularly by the Rainy Lake Sportfishing Club, the pond offers easy access, a picnic pavilion, short trail and a relaxed setting for kids to cast a line.
Fishing at the pond is reserved for children only, with a daily limit of two fish per child. All standard Minnesota fishing regulations apply. Fish cleaning and swimming are not permitted.
The pond is operated in cooperation with Koochiching County and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Parking is available behind Rainy Lake One Stop.
